Sans Jupe: a woman of negotiable virtue

Answer
Wow, Akane didn't know any better. Writing like that gets thrown around the internet uncredited all the time; wherever she found it probably didn't credit you either. She even went out of the way to credit you after the fact. I thought you were a decent writer, but when you jumped to call her names and assume the worst, I lost a lot of respect for you. I'm sure you don't care but whatever.

I’m sure it made you feel awful about me, but you know what, as a writer I don’t necessarily get paid much, all I get is credit.  I have every right to be angry that something was stolen from me, whether by Akane or anyone else.  Typing the title of that piece into any search engine leads you directly to any of the places where the article was posted with my name attributed.  I don’t care if it gets thrown around the internet all the time, people need to be more diligent and step up.  Just because you can copy and paste something doesn’t relieve you of the burden of referencing that information.  If I like a piece of writing and there is no author credited, I do a simple search to try to find it.  I didn’t call her names.  I called her one name.  I called her an asshole.  Because when you take the credit from someone’s work, that’s what you are, an asshole.  It’s just like people taking the watermarks off of images.  I’m friends with so many artists that are sick and tired of the general lack of respect for authorship.  It takes a lot of work to write these things, make these images, etc.  I don’t apologize for being angry or using the word asshole.  I thanked her publicly for crediting me once she did.  I don’t care if you lost respect for me.  I have respect for myself and my work.

Sans Jupe: a woman of negotiable virtue I'm told if America had a King, I'd be his Madame Pompadour....or at least his Nell Gwynne. You know, because either way, I'm so clever.
